Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and ViralVisions Labs LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Golden XI game and website (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Golden XI is a free game for entertainment only. You spin to draw a nation and era, draft an all-time lineup, and receive a simulated result. Results, grades, ratings, and “chemistry” are an opinionated game mechanic — they are not statements of fact about any real person or match and should not be relied upon for any purpose.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use online features, including posting a handle to a public leaderboard. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

3. Anonymous accounts

The Service uses an anonymous account tied to your device. There is no password. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your device, and your data and streak may be lost if you clear your browser storage, delete the app, or switch devices.

4. Handles and user content

If you submit a handle, you are responsible for it. You agree not to submit any handle or content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, obscene, deceptive, impersonating, or that infringes anyone's rights. We filter known offensive terms and may remove, change, or refuse any handle, and restrict or remove access, at our discretion and without notice. To report an offensive handle or other content, email support@thegoldenxi.com; we aim to act within a reasonable time. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display the handles and results you submit in connection with operating the Service.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to cheat, tamper with scores, submit falsified results, probe or attack the Service, scrape it at scale, reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it in any way that disrupts it or other players.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and the Golden XI name and logo, is owned by us and protected by law. The game references historical player names and publicly available career information presented as factual data; no player photographs or official marks are used. Golden XI is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with FIFA, any league, club, or any national federation. All third-party names are the property of their respective owners and are used only for identification and commentary.

7. Donations

Tips made through Ko-fi are voluntary, processed by Ko-fi under its own terms, non-refundable, and grant no goods, services, or benefits within the Service.

8. Third-party services and links

The Service relies on and links to third parties (including Supabase, Vercel, Ko-fi, and the Apple App Store and Google Play). Your use of those services is governed by their terms, and we are not responsible for them.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE OR ITS DATA WILL BE ACCURATE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED USD $100.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time. You may stop using it at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which ViralVisions Labs LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that disputes will be resolved in the courts located in that state, and you submit to their jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

14. Apple App Store terms

If you obtained the app from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us, not Apple; that Apple has no obligation to provide support or handle warranty claims; and that Apple is a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce these Terms.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
